Renting From General Rental
From the first call to the return, here's what to expect.
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Before you rent
- Know exactly what you need? Great! Not sure what you need? Tell us about your job and we'll help you choose the right equipment.
- Either way, we may ask you about your job to ensure that we get you the right equipment. Both to ensure your safety and to ensure you get your job done right, the first time!
Reserving your equipment
- Call us or send a quote request. We confirm availability, quote rates, and reserve your equipment.
- No deposit required to reserve equipment or tools, and we can reserve equipment all over the phone.
- We recommend reserving larger equipment, or equipment that will need to be delivered, a few days ahead of time.
- Not all equipment needs to be reserved. Same day rentals are available, depending on availability. We have enough inventory on smaller equipment that we rarely run out of stock, so most smaller equipment is always available.
- Need to cancel, no problem. We do not charge a cancellation fee. We kindly ask that you give us advance notice.
Rental periods and rates
Rates are for time out, not time used!
4 Hours
Just that: 4 hours with the equipment! The machine is rented and returned within 4 hours of taking it out. During open business hours only. Not available overnight or over the weekend. Not all equipment has a 4-hour rate.
Day
24 hours with the equipment. The machine is rented and returned within 24 hours of taking it out. Can be any 24 hour window that it is available. Not available over the weekend.
Weekend
Anytime Friday to Monday morning by 9am. Rent equipment over the weekend, and pay a weekend rate instead of paying 2 or 3 days. Equipment can be rented anytime Friday, depending on availability, and must be returned Monday by 9am, or additional charges will be incurred. Not available for Holiday weekends.
Week
7 days with the equipment. The machine is rented and returned within 7 days.
Metered equipment: most large and medium sized equipment have an hour meter that keeps track of running time.
Transportation considerations
You can get your rental two ways: we haul it to you, or you haul it yourself. Here's what each one takes.
We haul it
- Delivery & pickup is available on most equipment for a fee, based off of the size of the equipment and distance.
- We typically deliver within a 75 mile radius of Steubenville, Ohio (map below).
You haul it: larger equipment
- Your truck, your truck's hitch, and your trailer must all be properly rated and in good order to haul the rented equipment.
- Stump grinder and trencher rentals include a small trailer.
- If you have a truck or SUV with a hitch and a working light adapter, we can provide the proper receiver to hook up to the trailer.
You haul it: smaller equipment
- We can provide ramps to help loading and unloading from a pickup truck or SUV / cross over.
Our delivery radius
We typically deliver within a 75 mile radius of Steubenville, Ohio. Delivery & pickup is available on most equipment for a fee, based off of the size of the equipment and distance.

- If you are picking up your rental equipment, you will come to 1606 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
- Once arriving, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will briefly ask you about your project, again ensuring that we get you the proper equipment.
- We will review the safety and operating instructions of the equipment you rented, and we will assist in loading and securing the rental equipment.
What to bring
- A valid ID, and a debit or credit card. We do not accept checks.
- We do charge a deposit upfront, which varies depending on the equipment.
